We have been super busy lately but shows have been a lot of fun. I have been climbing really fast these past few weeks and can’t wait to beat Derek at the Lumberjack World Championships. Yesterday we had the Tennessee Ironjack Qualifiers for the new Jacks. They competed in 7 different events and it was really exciting. We have a great team of athletes with amazing talent. Yo Ho!

STIHL Timbersports Series Championships around the corner

Hey everyone! The weather is warm and the shows are rolling along. The newest athletes competed in the Tennessee Ironjack Qualifier yesterday and they all did very well. We are all excited to help them become better athletes all around. The STIHL Timbersports Series Championships are around the corner! They are being held June 1-3 and I was appointed the point person to be responsible for the event! I am excited and super busy to make this year’s Championships the best yet! YO HO!

Crazy week here doing projects. Within a couple more days, the Lumberjacks will be doing nothing extra except the occasional fishing trip. Until then we have a couple more hard days ahead.

At the end of the month, myself and Derek will be competing at Webster Springs, WV. A lot of big name choppers will be there. We hope to do really well. I suspect Derek will be in the top 10 for Springboard. I hope to place top 10 in Standing Block. I will keep you posted on our standings. YO HO!

Time Flies

It is month eight of our first year here at the Lumberjack Feud, and I can hardly believe it’s real. The days seem to go on forever, but the opportunity is so worth it. I have seen such changes in this short period and I am proud of all my staff. I am thrilled to be doing shows with the great athletes we have here. They are without question, the strongest in the world. We are gaining recognition throughout the media but are most proud that STIHL has chosen us for their Championship event June 1st to 3rd. We have also been chosen to be a feature on a program called American Originals, which airs on the Travel Channel. The Lumberjack Feud has so much to offer the local visitor and to the country as the epicenter of lumberjack sports and history. I did get to spend some time with my fiancé and my son in Florida. We caught tuna, speared snapper and soaked in some rays. We had lots of fun and can’t wait to go back. Tennessee continues to amaze me with its great sporting opportunities. I have been getting up a 5:00 AM and chasing the elusive Gobbler, Tom turkey. I did scare several with my hen call but two fell in love with my purr call, one of them was fried and served on rice! Walleyes are next on my list of culinary delights from the waters of the French Broad River. Thanks Volunteer State for the great times!

Hitting the Links and the Lake

Spring break was great here at the Feud! Not too much sitting around. Had some of the greatest shows we have done yet and some the biggest, rowdiest crowds as well. Latley I have been hitting the golf course and the lake. More luck on the golf course than on the lake needless to say. So I will be hunting the elusive fishy for the next weeks to come!

More Training

I began my training regime again for the upcoming competition in Webster Springs, WV. Myself and a couple of other Lumberjacks from the show will be going up and excited to be apart of that competition.
